ELEMENTALS 2023
‘Elementals’ is the second collection by Odd Mod Creations.
A compilation of designs inspired by the elements of nature: Earth, Air, Fire, Water & Spirit, focuses primarily on the composition and how to turn this concept into a physical form.
This collection takes the components and hand-woven techniques often seen in Odd Mod Creations’ work and combines them with new ones, utilizing new materials and patterns to bring this vision to life.
In its own way of combining the organic flow attributed to nature with elegant presentation as wearable art, this collection is an homage to the Art Nouveau movement, with JQ especially drawn to the sculpture-like work of jewelry designer René Lalique.
Minor adjustments can be made upon request for certain pieces.
Dragon Fire - This collar necklace is the embodiment of the element FIRE. A locking push clasp positioned in the front connects the Argentium® silver dragon scale pattern to an arrangement of garnet, padparadscha sapphire and three (3) varieties of citrine, made to represent a flame.
Temptation - for the element EARTH, this unique Argentium® silver medallion is inspired by the concept of the Tree Of Knowledge. The six (6) emeralds speak for themselves as the treetop portion of this sculpture-like piece. A 4mm ruby is suspended by a 14K gold chain, woven into the design.
Painted Beads - this stainless steel and beaded necklace remains untitled. In a way it represents both the elements of AIR and the SPIRIT. An elegant, minimalist pattern draws attention to beads while the accents attempt to create a sense of movement in the centerpiece.
Carina - The element of WATER is one of many forms. This titanium necklace has been anodized using an electrical current to create the appearance of the blue color transition of an otherwise simple byzantine chain pattern.
Waterfall - As seen on Instagram, this stainless steel and 6mm, blue zircon colored crystal chaton is adorned by chain details to complete the concept.
Lure - this Argentium® silver pendant is shaped like that of a fishing lure, though it catches more eyes than fish. Its focal point is a 6mm blue spinel with a cultured, freshwater pearl and unique, delicate twist on a traditional chainmail pattern.
Helix - Understated-yet-elegant, the spiral pattern reflects the element of wind in these dangle earrings. Made with Argentium® silver.
Crescent Moon - Argentium® silver droplet earrings, inspired by the properties of the amethyst crystal, represent the element of the SPIRIT.
